đRural Life
Out here, when the wind dies down, words carry. Across fields, through open windowsâyou hear things that might go unnoticed in the noise of the city. And it hit me: our words in life carry too. Farther than we think.
They land in hearts. They echo in minds long after weâve moved on. And they can either plant hope or poison.
Scripture for Today
đ âDeath and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.â (Proverbs 18:21, NKJV)
The Bible doesnât exaggerate here. Words are seedsâand they grow. Some into bitterness, some into blessing. Which ones are we sowing?
Why It Matters
Itâs easy to forget how much weight our words hold because they feel so small. But ask the person who still carries a sentence spoken years agoâmaybe one that broke them. Or the one who treasures a note they read over and over when life felt heavy.
We get to choose which kind of memory we leave.
Living It Out
This isnât about fake positivity or pretending everything is fine. Itâs about being intentional:
- Speak courage when fear is loud.
- Speak forgiveness when pride wants the last word.
- Speak prayer over your family instead of silent worry.
One word can shift the atmosphere.
Prayer for Today
Lord, remind me that my words matter. Help me speak life into weary hearts and grace into hard places. Let my voice echo hope, not harm. Amen.
Grace in Action
Send one message of encouragement todayâa text, a note, a voice call. Just one. You never know how far it might carry.
Journal Prompt
