I Never Let Epilepsy Put Me in a Bubble

At 30 I celebrated 4 years seizure-free.
Now at 43 I’m at 16 years without a single grand mal (since 2009).
The little blips still visit sometimes, but the monsters are gone.
Epilepsy never got to put me in a bubble, and it never will.

Honoring the Moms Who Didn’t Have to Be

They didn’t carry you for nine months.
They didn’t sign adoption papers.
They might not even be “step” or “foster” by name.
But they showed up. They gave hugs when no one else did.
They stayed when others walked away.
They listened, prayed, packed lunches, drove to practices, and stood in the gap. They didn’t have to — but they did.

Not a Perfect Day, But a Good Day

Life with epilepsy isn’t easy — the pills, the rides, the judgment. But today reminded me that God’s plan is still good. It wasn’t a perfect day, but it was a good day, filled with His peace.
