It’s easy to believe when everything feels steady — when the path is clear and the future looks bright. But real faith isn’t tested by calm days; it’s proven in the storm.
Jesus told us to build our lives on the Rock, not the sand. It’s a quiet warning hidden in a simple parable. The truth is, both houses looked the same until the storm came. The difference wasn’t the builder’s skill — it was the foundation.
When life shakes, you find out fast what your faith is resting on. If it’s comfort, it’ll crumble. If it’s approval, it’ll shift. If it’s Christ — it’ll hold.
The world teaches us to build quickly. But the Spirit teaches us to build deeply. And just like those trees outside your window, depth doesn’t show until the wind does.
Maybe this season isn’t about what’s falling — maybe it’s about what’s still standing.
So let the leaves go. Let the temporary things move out of your hands. God’s not asking you to hold everything together; He’s asking you to stand on the One who already does.
Because the same God who steadies the storm can steady you.
