📖 Dig Deeper: A 7-Week Journey into Life with the Spirit
When You Don’t Know Which Way to Go
Life is full of crossroads — decisions big and small that leave us asking, “What now, Lord?” The good news? We are not left to figure it out alone. The Holy Spirit is our Guide, leading us in truth, wisdom, and peace.
Jesus said, “When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth” (John 16:13, NKJV).
The Spirit’s Guidance Is Personal
God’s guidance isn’t one-size-fits-all — it’s intimate and intentional:
– He leads through God’s Word — always in alignment with Scripture.
– He nudges through conviction when we’re about to step off course.
– He gives peace or restlessness to confirm or caution our choices (Colossians 3:15).
How the Spirit Guides Us
– Through prayer — opening our hearts to hear His whispers.
– Through Scripture — lighting the path with truth (Psalm 119:105).
– Through godly counsel — confirming what He’s already speaking.
God’s Spirit never contradicts God’s Word. If the direction you sense doesn’t align with Scripture, it isn’t from Him.
Reflection for This Week
When uncertainty rises, lean in. The Spirit isn’t silent — but His voice often comes as a gentle whisper, not a shout.
Scripture to Meditate On
“Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.” — Isaiah 30:21 (NKJV)
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” — Proverbs 3:5–6 (NKJV)
Questions to Reflect On
1. Where do you need the Spirit’s direction right now?
2. How can you create space this week to listen for His guidance?
3. What voices in your life do you need to quiet so you can hear Him clearly?
Prayer
Holy Spirit, I need Your wisdom today. Teach me to trust Your leading and surrender my plans to Yours. Help me walk in truth and peace as You guide my steps. Amen.
