đ§şFaith in the Ordinary
The sunset didnât shout.
It whispered.
Thatâs how God got my attention this time â not through a miracle, not through a breakthrough, but through soft light breaking across ordinary branches.
It didnât look like a holy moment.
It looked like Tuesday.
But there was peace in it. A hush. A stillness that reminded me:
God doesnât need fireworks to show up.
đ 1 Thessalonians 4:11 (NIV)
âMake it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands…â
We live in a world chasing the next big thing â the next platform, the next transformation, the next answer to prayer.
But what if the most powerful kind of faith isnât explosive?
What if itâs faithful?
Faith in the quiet life.
Faith in the unnoticed work.
Faith that does the next right thing because God is worth obeying â even when no one is watching.
This world celebrates hustle.
But scripture says: make it your ambition to lead a quiet life.
That doesnât mean a passive life.
It means an anchored one.
A life where God doesnât have to shout to be heard.
So Iâm learning to listen to the stillness.
To look for the holy in the humble.
To let the light through the trees remind me that this â yes, even this ordinary moment â is a place where faith can grow.
Prayer for the Week:
Lord, help me to slow down long enough to see You in the quiet. Teach me to value the life Youâve given me â not for how visible it is, but for how faithful I am in it. Remind me that ordinary obedience is still worship. Amen.
