☕ Coffee Truths: Speak Life, Spread Grace

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.”
(Proverbs 18:21 NKJV)

Some shrug and say words don’t matter — that they’re “just words,” and they’re not responsible for how others respond. But God’s Word tells a different story. Words have consequences — both good and bad.

When we speak life, encouragement, and truth, we plant seeds that grow into hope. When we speak lies, gossip, or anger, those seeds grow too — but into destruction. Freedom of speech is a gift, but it is not freedom from the results of what we say.

And we’re watching the consequences of speech play out all around us right now — in media, in politics, even in family life. Words ignite division or inspire unity. They can tear down trust or build it. They can stir fear, or they can anchor faith.

As believers, we can’t afford to take our words lightly. We are called to more than speaking our mind; we’re called to speak God’s truth with grace. Our words should leave people better, not broken.

Every word you speak plants something. Choose wisely.

✅ Anchor Verse: “Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.” (Ephesians 4:29 NKJV)

🙏 Prayer:

Lord, remind me that words are never “just words.” They carry weight, and they carry consequence. Help me to speak life where there is pain, truth where there is confusion, and grace where there is brokenness. Let my voice reflect You in every conversation. Amen.
