Everyone is shouting “democracy.” The news repeats it until it feels like truth. But America was never built on raw majority rule. And as believers, our foundation isn’t in the noise of the crowd — it’s in Christ, the Rock that cannot be shaken.
Pour the coffee. Open the news. The word you’ll hear over and over is “our democracy.” It’s repeated like a drumbeat until people accept it without thinking.
But America was not founded as a democracy. It was founded as a constitutional republic — a nation built on laws, checks, balances, and protections for God-given rights. Majority rule doesn’t decide truth. God does.
What Scripture Says About Crowds
“You shall not follow a crowd to do evil.” — Exodus 23:2
Crowds are loud. Mobs are louder. But noise isn’t wisdom. If we build our lives on the shifting opinions of the majority, we’ll be tossed like waves in the wind.
Coffee Truth for Today
That’s why this Coffee Truth matters: truth is not up for a vote. God’s Word stands even if the whole world disagrees.
A Prayer for the Nation
So while the news runs headlines about “saving democracy,” I’ll sip my coffee and pray instead: God bless this land.
Not because we’ve earned it — but because we desperately need His mercy.
Reflection
• Am I letting the crowd decide what I believe?
• Do I know the difference between popular opinion and eternal truth?
Prayer
Lord, when the voices around me grow loud, remind me that truth is not found in the crowd but in You. Keep me anchored in Your Word, steady in my convictions, and bold enough to stand when the world shouts otherwise. And God — bless this land. Amen.
