Scripture:
“He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.” – Psalm 1:3 (NIV)
Reflection
Autumn reminds us that change is not only natural but necessary. The trees do not resist when their leaves begin to fade and fall; instead, they release them and prepare for winter’s quiet. In the same way, God often uses seasons of change to grow us spiritually.
The beauty of the changing leaves is a vivid reminder that transformation, even when it feels like loss, carries purpose. Each color speaks of God’s creativity and His power to turn transitions into something breathtaking. When we allow Him to work in us, even the “falling away” of old habits, old fears, or old ways of thinking can make room for deeper faith.
Encouragement
You may be in a season where God is asking you to let go — of expectations, of control, or even of comfort. Like the trees, we thrive when we surrender. Remember: God never wastes a season. What feels like shedding is actually preparing you for stronger growth.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the reminder of Your faithfulness in every season. Help me to trust You when change comes, and to see beauty in the process of transformation. Teach me to release what no longer serves my growth, so that I may flourish in Your timing. Amen.
